Can't leave this forum empty, now can we?
Let's post our talentbuilds and maybe help eachother improve here or there if possible.
My Resto-build can be found here (http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/shaman/talents.html?tal=000000000000000000005000000000000 0000000055035051355310513321).
Any remarks are welcome.
I chose not to take the improved reincarnation because I rarely die before the tanks do and when the tanks die it's over anyway. Nature's Guidance isn't something a healer needs, so no question there. I do think I might switch the points in Ancestral Knowledge to Focused Mind and Nature's Guardian. I took the points in the beginning to pump up my mana pool, but my mana regen should be high enough now to switch those points over to the Resto-tree.

Concerning ancestral knowledge, most shamans i know don't have it because you're talking about 500 mana on a pool of 10k which should not make a big difference with the mana regen shamans have. It might be worth switching out indeed.
improved reincarnation can be quite worth it in 25 man raids and za, you might die a lot there from outside causes and having a reincarnation on every try might help a bit.
Nature's guidance is not that useful, granted, but it can be situational if you need to purge or shock, especially as a resto shaman since you hardly have hit.
Focused mind is situational but can be useful on some fights, though nature's guardian is most likely a better filler, especially for 25 man raids and zul'aman where you will take a lot of aoe damage.

Not so true anymore, I've seen us pull some remarkable comebacks after the tanks died. :)

I could fillup Nature's Guardian, put two points in Improved Reincarnation and one point in Focused Mind.

Im thinking of switching to this one

Because of the massive aoe dam we get in MH and especially BT
I really like improved reincarnation, and with my regen atm i dont think 2% less on healing or 25% less on totems will hurt, but i need to check it out.
Nature's Guardian, i really really like this talent, it has saved me lots of times, especially on aoe, but ill leave that for you to try it out and check for yourself. As shammie sometimes on bosses (some) you dont get one shotted, so the heal plus threat reduction might help you survive :)
Ancentral knowledge (Big No), as already been said its 500 mana on a 10k mana pool, thats one more chain heal. There are better places to spend those 5 points, like Focused Mind and Imp. Reinc :)

After reading the guide you posted in an other thread I was looking at a variation of your " Im thinking of switching to this one"-build. Instead of Concussion I would choose Conviction. The damage we do isn't that important, but our Earth Shock can come in handy to counterspell. The less mana it uses, the better.

Good point, but to be honest i usually use the rank 1 to interrupt so the mana cost is not that high :)

Also a good point. What do you think would be better for Arena's, Conviction or Concussion? More damage is always good, but cheaper shocks are also quite nice. Unlike in raids, mana is an issue in PvP.

Convection, your shocks will be purely for interrupting/cc'ing, the damage is a secondary benefit. You still want to use max rank shocks in pvp though purely for the added damage, but even then the mana reduction is worth it.

I think every 25 man raider should take the damage reduction talents in their talent trees seriously. Try prevent wasting talent points on poor talents that you can put into damage reduction without gimping your main roll (to much). The same goes for gear choices btw.
Healers and DPS classes are no tanks but the still will take a lot of damage in most fights your death will seriously hurt the raid.
