ok so i want to be able to grind with palm not often but now and again i would like to be able to kill mobs quicker than the time to make a coffee, that said my real question is what type of gear should l be using?
Ap, Str, Crit, Hit?
Sp Dmg, Int, Spell Hit?
have had a little look round the web and still am unsure.
As with my retadin going for ap and crit i thought this might be the same for Palm, but with talents i wondered if Holy shock was a more viable source of dmg.
Any help would be appreitated thanks

Roll a rogue!
but seriously, i think you're best off just stacking spell dmg, pull 4-5 mobs at the same time then consecrate and judge light or wisdom on a mob.

lol i have a rogue but for rep grinds i need palm:) (and to pick my flowers by those nasty annoying mobs)
yeah thats what i been doing but just wasn't sure main reason was when i got exhaulted with SSO i thought i would get a new neck to grind with and could'nt decide which one would be more benifital
yeah SP is the one - I have a DSP setup on my outiftter which mixes my healing and some pure sp damage kit I have to get it up to around 550 sp - I lose a load of heath but the mobs just arent able to hurt you much anyway and it makes grinding much faster and hence not such a pain.

Spell dmg is certainly the way to go - On Celtic I take zero dmg but takes me a while to kill mobs(I only have about 450 spell dmg - although a shield with a FI spike helps). Case in point I was in a Heroic MrT with Mfive and he used his conceration at same time as me - his spell dmg was greater than mine and he pulled aggro ..... and died ...... so the moral of the story is roll and alt.
or let the tank hit first - lol

In strength gear with a big 2 hander your white hits will do around 130 dps more than with a 1 hander and a shield, all your spells will do less damage. If you go all out your DPS on a single target your DPS will be around 350 for both situations.
With your shield you will take a lot less damage, heal a lot better and regen much more mana. That's why i would choose for a shield, 1 hander and spelldamage gear. (I also get bagspace problems when I have to take diferent gear for grinding with me ;)).
In this gear spelldamage and mp5 are the things you want to do the best damage and have little downtime. Spellhit and melee hit wont help much, altough a little melee hit can help. Intell is hardly a factor.
