Battlestar is a raiding guild, we try to balance the guild around the 25 mans raids. We want to have a compact raid group so that players that subscribe for a raid have a good chance to be invited, but we also want enough players so that they can skip a run when they want to do other things than WOW.
To support the raiding we will use the following guild ranks:
Trial; this is a rank for a limited period of time to see if you fit into the guild and if you fulfill your promises that you made in your application.<o></o>
Member, this rank is primarily for players that can’t raid but like to be in our guild, they do not have a raiding spot in the 25 man raids. When a spot opens for the 25 man raids we will always look if we have a member that is willing and able to fill that spot.<o></o>
Casual raiders can subscribe for all 25 man raids but will have a lower chance for an invite for a progression raid where we try to kill a new boss.<o></o>
Progression raiders can subscribe for all 25 man raids but will have a lower chance for an invite on farm runs.<o></o>
The difference between a casual and a progression raider can be the number of raids a player can join, gear, experience or skill. Depending on those factors players can go from casual raiders to progression raiders or the other way around.<o></o>
Raiding Alt, this is an alt of a raider that has the gear and skill to go to 25 man raids. A raid Alt will get a raid spot over a main when it’s needed for the raid or on farm runs where the main doesn’t need the gear anymore. Think of a DPS’er that goes on a tank alt because we lack tank<o></o>.
Alts, this are alts that are not raiding alts<o></o>.
Class leaders are people who manage different groups of players. There are class leaders for healing, physical dps and magic dps. Class leaders are also responsible for managing people in their channel and sorting out invites and fair rotations<o></o>.
Raid Leaders, they plan and lead the raids.<o></o>
Officers, they try to keep the guild healthy. If you have questions or complaints about guild related matters or raid invites come to them. Please read http://www.battle-star.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2347 (http://showthread.php?t=2347) for the raid rules.<o></o>
