Druid
o Brambles (Balance): Now increases the damage done by your Treants, and also damage caused from your Treants and Barkskin has a 5/10/15% chance to Daze the target for 3 sec.

DD_comment: Very nice PvP and PvE buff




o Celestial Focus (Balance): The stun proc now works with Starfall.

o Entangling Roots: Can now be used indoors.


DD_comment: W00T.. Druid melee PvE Crowd controll.. AMEN !!!!!!!!


o Faerie Fire (Feral): Now an 11-point talent, down from being a 21-point talent.
o Feral Charge (Feral) is now a 21-point talent, up from being a 11-point talent.
o Feral Charge (Feral): Can now be used in Cat form.

DD_comment: Makes NO difference to ferals. resto arena nerf. I personally would have FFF trainable, FC 11pt and then give is a proper 21-pt talent.. but meh








o Feral Instinct (Feral) no longer increases threat generated in Bear form, but now increases damage done by your Swipe ability by 5/10/15%.


DD_comment: OK.. This is why I am serious about making a DK main..[1/2 page rant deleted, contact me if you want to know why....]






o Focused Starlight (Balance): Now also works with Starfall.
o Force of Nature (Balance): Cooldown reduced to 2 minutes, down from 3.
DD_comment: general PvE balance buffs.. all good




o Hurricane: No longer has a cooldown (was 1 minute).
DD_comment: LOL-MANA... but nice AOE change...


o Improved Faerie Fire (Feral): Now also works with spell hit, in addition to ranged and melee hit %.
DD_comment: Now this is a PROPER change. Most tanking / dps ferals keep up FFF as part of thier rotation anyway.. menas it woul dnot disrupt the balance druids spell casting... however it is a nerf to oomkins, as they no longer have a raid buf........






o Improved Mark of the Wild (Restoration): Now a 2-point talent, down from a 5-point talent.
DD_comment: BLEH... make it a %based and I might actually care
o Improved Tranquility (Restoration): Now also reduces the cooldown of your Tranquility spell by 25/50%.
DD_comment: hmmm... never used tranq....




o Mangle (Feral): Now increases the damage done by Maul in addition to Shred.
DD_comment: NIce PvE / PvP DPS buff.. not a huge one, as maul is only applicable in ful rage situations.


o Moonglow (Balance): Now also works with Starfall.
o Moonkin Form (Balance) no longer increases your attack power or causes you to regenerate mana off melee attacks, but now has a chance to cause you to instantly regenerate 2% of your total mana every time you critically hit with a spell.
DD_comment: NICE.. Full synergy with boomkin aura.. none of this "hmm the boomkin has been cleaved again"








o Nature’s Focus (Restoration): Now a 3 point talent, down from a 5-point talent. Also moved to Tier 1, up from Tier 2. Now also includes Nourish.
o Nature’s Grace (Balance): Now also reduces the global cooldown of your Wrath spell by 50% while in effect.
DD_comment: NICE.. wrath spam anyone?




o Nature’s Grasp (Balance): Can now be used and can proc indoors.
o Nature’s Reach (Balance): Now also reduces threat generated by Balance spells by 15/30%.
DD_comment: NICE.. good alround buffage to 5-10man instances. This will make this a must have resto talent. pull helaing aggro, pop this, wait till melee is entangled then runaway...


o New Spell: Revive - Returns the spirit to the body, restoring a dead target to life with health and mana. Cannot be cast when in combat. (Ranks 1-7 added)
DD_comment: AHHHHH-LLEEHHHHH-LUUUUUUU-YAAAAAA !!!!!!






o Omen of Clarity (Restoration): Now a passive spell. Now also works for spells (healing and damage). Proc rate is roughly 6% with a 10 second internal cooldown.
DD_comment: OMFG !!. This is a MASSIVE buff for druid casters (a bit meh for melee) A nice extra feature that you never had..


o Primal Tenacity (Feral) now reduces damage while stunned by 5/10/15%, and reduces the duration of fear effects by 5/10/15%.
DD_comment: bleh--pvp



o Remove Curse can now be used in Tree of Life form.
DD_comment: Now that is a needed, nice change


o Soothe Animal can now be used on Dragonkin as well as Beasts.
o Soothe Animal is now instant cast.
DD_comment: Herbalists of teh world unite




o Subtlety (Restoration): Now a 3-point talent, down from a 5-point talent. Also moved to Tier 2, up from Tier 3. Also now only reduced threat for Restoration spells, and reduces the chance that your healing over time spells (Lifebloom, Regrowth and Rejuvenation) will be dispelled, rather than all Druid spells. Threat management for Balance can now be found in the Balance tree, within Nature’s Reach.
DD_comment: Really nice re-work of teh tree.. HOWEVER, balance druids will probably be 11 oints in it anyway for teh OOC buff.




o Survival of the Fittest (Feral): Increased to 2/4/6%, up from 1/2/3%.
DD_comment: ERRRRRRR........ OK. I have not got my head round this one.. This is blizzard BLATENTLY cheating..CBA to fix defence on tier gear.. so lets remove it compleatly.. My first instinct is W00t !!.. however tempered with a .. errrrrr whats happening to our itemisation.....
o The mana regeneration penalty when in Bear Form, Dire Bear Form and Cat Form has been removed.
DD_comment: What mana regen penaty?

o Tranquil Spirit (Restoration) now also includes Nourish.
o Tree of Life (Restoration): 30% snare penalty has been removed.
DD_comment: and it was there in teh firstplace because????????




o Tree of Life (Restoration): Can now cast Dispel Curse.
o Tree of Life (Restoration): You can now cast all Restoration spells (Healing Touch) in the form, but Tree of Life now only reduces the mana cost of your healing over time spells (Rejuvenation, Lifebloom, Regrowth and Flourish) by 20%.
DD_comment: You mean the 41point resto talent no longer locks out 30% of all your resto spells.. oo nice.. thanks blizz.... >.<


o Vengeance (Balance): Now also works with Starfall.

Just a quick clarification: This applies only to IMP FF, not FFF. So it's a boomkin buff actually. Check the balance talent tree for this.

Because now, with the improved tree of life resto druids are going to have as much armour as a paladin/warrior while being able to hot themselves up with the new buff that increases healing taken, not being banishable anymore and also running around at full speed.

I can seriously already see the fulltime tree pvp druid healers in arena's already, and no way you'd take a druid down who has both better hots AND improved armour.

W00t, nice resto buffs. AoE HoT at bottom of resto tree. And finally a normal res spell. No more trying to get someone else in a 5 man group with a normal res. Treeform also a lot more usefull now it can cast other healing spells too.

No, resto is a nice spec and got nice improvements, though balance got some shit-imba buffs that will make talenting very difficult I think, in any case Starfall is just jummy, you can use it and then walk around casting other spells :> lets say.. hurricane? :-P double aoe ftw

But other then that imp moonkin and owlkin frenzy are just insane! (though frenzy is only usefull in pvp/tanking)

Nature's Fury, can I say raidbuff? At least for hunter dot/arcane shot, ele shammies and arcane mages ;-) and other balance druids ofc.

All in all, all specs got some love I think :-)

Most likely Geilia will go full resto in the expansion.

I do like healing, and the new talents only are convincing me more to go that way.

I am really in 2 minds..

i am very aware that I am a much better healer than I am a tank..and in soem respec's I like it more.

The resto changes do seem to address a lot of what was wrong with druid healing and looks sooo tasty.

I think my intention is still to move Dirk to resto and lvl up a DK as a main...Or depending if we have enough tanks, move Dirk to resto and keep him..

Dunno-yet.. wrath is still quite away away...

If cash is even going to be more plentiful in the expansion (which I think it will be) 50 gold for a respec is peanuts (I already consider it a small amount nowadays).

And on Geilia I'm going to get multiple gearsets for each task as usual.
Also I still have a bubbletonk.
Further tehre will be peeps rolling a DK, which can also tonk if needed

bubble zero's (not resets) aggro.. so that only works if you want to wipe the raid..

And croaks.. if you do Dk it.. are you *seriously* telling me you would tank? ;)

Ahh Warth is so far away.. Raiding in Wrath is even fyrther.. Personel change.. And I may really like teh new look druid tank.. :)

We have no plans to implement a "Dire Cat" form at this time. "Dire Bear" exists for the sole purpose of upgrading the Feral Druid's armor value to match the Warrior/Paladin etc. (Druids get no shield)

We do, however, intend to allow Druids to be able to use items and enchants with procs in forms, which I believe will work in the next beta build (don't hold me to it though).

No hybrid is meant for one purpose... They said they will make encounters that are best tanked with DK's, then again I don't really know the hybrid capabilities of a tank specced DK :->

But by default I try not to look what blizz wants your class to do, but what I enjoy playing most.. Which is why I used to be feral most of 60's, resto only shortly to support raiding and balance for long periods as well (also while leveling to 60) in the end balance won me and I kept playing that... Most of the time.

I'll just play around with the different specs, I assume you get hybrid gear at 55 so after you get your talent points I hope you can play around with all specs to see what plays best

get off my raid spot bitch I R the only DK, relay tho i don't see DK tanking raids yes they will be able to do a good job tanking adds trash ect but i don't feel they will be able to take the tankigns pot of a druid warrior paladin , they are more of a class that can tank if they need to .

Knowing Blizzard, since a DK will be the magic stuff tank. there will be a few encounters where a DK tank is almost mandatory. (most likely it can also be done without, but much harder then).

And anyone can make a DK and try to get a raid spot. But they are hybrids, so be prepared to have to do both roles from time to time.

I have a sneaky descion that a DK included just for DPS will be a weak descion, a rogue or even DPS warrior will still be much stronger in that regards..Again.... we will see

Well, Pala dps will get a great buff it seems and I reckon DK won't be pussy-like. Not sure on whether they'll be burstbased (as paladins) or more steady (like rogues and warriors until boss is at 20% health) or a combination..

Considering the buffs that blizz has given hybrid classes on their (in blizz point of view) main dps front, DK will be a force to be reckoned with. Nevertheless, indeed time will tell.

Typhoon mana cost has been increased from 475 to 645 and the range changed from 20 to 24 Yards.
Force of Nature mana cost has been changed from 12% base mana to 284 mana. Cooldown has been reduced from 3 to 2 minutes.
Starfall mana cost has been increased from 655 to 866. Range increased from 30 to 36 yards. Damage seems to be changed as well but it looks like the version displayed in the talent calculator isn't the first rank of the spell.Feral
Faerie Fire range has been increased from 30 to 36 yards.
Primal Tenacity now increases your chance to resist Stun and Fear mechanics by 5/10/15% (Old version : Reduces the duration of Fear effects by 5/10/15% and reduces all damage taken while stunned by 5/10/15%)
Improved Mangle now reduces the cooldown of your Mangle (Bear) ability by 7% (instead of 0.5 sec) and reduces the energy cost of your Mangle (Cat) ability by 2.Restoration

Blood dps looks to be jsut above that of a dps warrior and ofc below a rogue form the information we have at the moment and sum of the ulity they bring to the raid is amazing ( alot of it only in group ) also the fact that ( on trash) they can switch to frost stance and tank an add or whatever makes a DK blood ( dps) spec a good choice for a raid spot . It looks as if DK will fill in on certian encounters and be able to tank 5 mans they will also have there own tanking situations like that of a warlock ( leo) . The question is is it viable to have more than one DK in the raid ? I would say 2 would be good one full dps spec one tanking spec.

Saying that we are getting 2 specs or so they say in WOTLK so there may be no need for 2 DK in a raid, but we will have to see i realy do want to switch to a DK but if there is no raidsport then i wont be able to . Bring back 40 amn raids i say can have loooodssss of DKs then :P ( sarcasm off)

erm, is it just me or is there a bit of rivalry to whom gets to have a DK in the raids..? TBH if you want to make a DK and so does another you'll just have to rotate, simple as that...It happens now, it'll happen in the future.

Or am I to naive now?

Its not that its just not efficiant to switch to a class when we have too many of them say for example there are 2 dk in each raid 3 players switch to dk form there main we would effectivly lose one player each raid that would normaly be raiding on there origial toon and then they would have to be replaced.

Anyhow back to big fat bears this is off topic
